The re-issues will have the third color. Hmm... So that was it!\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eRon Cameron scribbled a rough drawing on a tiny scrap of paper and then enlarged it on the copy machine and then added the iconic HARD TIMES lettering and banged on a typewriter to get slogan “tiMes TOUgh? DOn’T CARe? nO EXPeNSiVe pAINt JoBS, no pRO RoYALtiES TO pAY. nO FRiLLs, jUSt A tOP qUALitY sKATeboARd FOr not aS Much monEY”. \u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eIt was just one color screen print on a natural or painted white board, no top graphic...oh then there was the wheels, only one wheel printed per set and bundled together with twine and a rubber stamped “DOA” tag.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eThis low-fi scribble xerox art would go on to become Blockhead’s best selling graphic series ever!\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003e(Thanks JJ and Jay for the inspiration). The series continued for several years with 6 different graphics.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eOh...don’t ask us because we don’t remember why!.....the first Hard Times board was not numbered, but the next one in the series had a #1, so this first one has become known as the Hard Times 0. graphic changes and would occasionally have a board shape with “New Graphics” written over it in their catalogs or ads.   \u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eFor his 2nd graphic, somehow between Rick, artist Ron Lemen and myself we thought it’d be really funny to just make a board that just said “New Graphics” on the bottom.....it was kind of a social commentary of how volatile and crazy skateboarding was at the time.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eIt was also kind of an FU to the common graphics.....or graphics in screamed out “if anyone lights off one more #%@\u0026amp;ing firecracker I’m going to.....”.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eMeanwhile Rick was sitting right behind me and was trying to blow out the firecracker he had just lit...on my headrest!\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eIt exploded in my ear and I swerved to the side of the road and slammed on the brakes.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eBefore I could even get my seatbelt off all the guys were already out the door and scattering
