You know this guy....he’s the one that snarls and curses as you bomb past him on the sidewalk. The “Grumpy Man” made his debut on the 1989 Streetstyle board and was also featured on a couple more decks and t-shirts (the text in the voice bubble was taken from the t-shirt).
The reissues are amazing but I thought it would be fun to do something a bit more hands on. With a couple big boxes of every imaginable color of Plutonium brand paint and a bit of help from Richard at Watson Laminates, a limited number of these boards were hand stenciled top and bottom and then Damon finished them off with a single color screen print.
A big effort was made to make every one very different from the next, some very colorful and some a bit more monotone. However it is not possible to post every board made and give you a choice, they are shipped out from the top of the stack...but don’t worry, they’re all good.
The original idea was to make more boards for you to ride but then they came out so rad you just might want to hang one. While Ron and I plan on making other limited art boards in the near future for the “Skartplanks” page of the site, it was decided to offer these unsigned and unnumbered at a price you can afford to ride if you want. So your choice, ride it or hang it...or slap some rails on it and ride it then hang it!
