To recognize absolute legend Jeremy Wray and his tremendous achievement of being honored by the Skateboarding Hall of Fame this year, Blockhead wanted to do something really special. We linked up with Jeremy and cooked up a plan….Do a new modernized shape based on Jeremy’s original 1993 “Rain Girl” model with an updated version of the graphic.
Jeremy went through several ideas and finally settled on this “splatter” paint theme where it’s raining paint and the girl has a paint bucket under her arm. Cover the world with art!
Oh, Jeremy got his hands dirty and went old school actually cutting stencils and breaking out the spray paint to create this graphic. These feature solid backgrounds in either the original navy blue or a few other colors we thought looked lovely.
